Captivate Me is Book One of The Captivated Series, a Young Adult Paranormal Romance
“My mom had always told me – when you meet “the one,” you’ll know; they’ll captivate your heart the moment you lay eyes on them. I had always wondered, though, if my mom’s words of wisdom were finite – if they applied to everyone. Maybe those who had found their one great love were the lucky few, and maybe the rest of us would have to settle for less than earth-shattering.”

Seventeen-year-old Kat Walsh is a Gifted – a human with paranormal abilities. With her mom a former Angel and her dad a dream prophet, it’s always been in her genetic make-up to be extraordinary. Unfortunately for her, the world can’t handle the strange or unusual. So when she slips up and uses her powers at her high school in Ireland, the entire student body treats her like a freak – even the ones she thought were her closest friends.
Broken, but hopeful for a fresh start, she allows her parents to enroll her in a boarding school buried deep within the forests of a small Colorado town. At Midland Pines, School for the Gifted, she feels as though she can finally be herself; she makes new friends and even has the attention of the most popular guy in school – Levi. Everything feels normal again… or does it?
Not long after her arrival, weird dreams of an alluring boy whom she’s never met surface during the night, and the eerie, shadowy trees encircling their school seem to call to her. As these disturbing, yet enticing developments intensify, other bizarre occurrences happen – students and staff turn up missing, and mystery visitors leave gifts while she sleeps. With all of these other things vying for her attention, a desperate Levi has to fight even harder to keep her interest. But with the dreams of the attractive boy slowly captivating her heart, Kat has to make a choice – will she settle for ‘great’ Levi, or will she search for her elusive dream visitor, possibly stumbling across ‘amazing?’
From the author of the Alyx Rayer Chronicles, comes a refreshingly different Young Adult series with plenty of love, suspense, and a new take on the Paranormal.

REVIEW:
Kathrin Walsh is a young lady with a power to move things with just a thought, telekinesis. One brother has powers and the other does not. What happens when she closes her locker door from the doorway of her classroom one day at school? Where does she go after she finishes out the school year? Who becomes her 'best friend' at the new school? What is different about this school than her old school? Who is Levi? Who is Sarah? What happens when Kathrin has to run back to her dorm to pick up a text book? Who is Anna-Grace and what does the principal ask of Kathrin? As Kathrin's friends get to know Anna, what happens? Who does she go to the dance with? As things turn weird for Kat, such as a missing nurse, and a missing student, the school basically goes on lock down mode. Who are Gabriel, Iris, Kai, Piper, Aubrey, Brad, Raymond, and Colton? What happens that Kat agrees to join them? Who are they? What are they? Things are not quite all as they seem with this book. When more students go missing, 4 in one night, what happens? What does Kat do? When she talks to Iris and Kai about helping find the students, what happens? Something is said that breaks things in Kat's eyes and mind and heart when it comes to Gabe. What is said? How do things go with her and Levi? What will she do after graduation? You're going to have to read this book. This is a great book for teenagers. Good story line and an interesting read, even for an adult.

REVIEW:
We pick up the start of the second book with Detective Trueblood making a very adamant suggestion that really isn't a suggestion, what is it? Why does he make this 'suggestion'? When they get to their new home, where is it? Who all goes? Once they've settled into their respective cabins in their new home, how long are the human friends, families, and loved ones still with them? Why can they not stay? One night, Gabe disappears from the bed, Kat wakes up and realizes he's gone. When she sees him next, and she asks, where does he tell her he went? Why does Dawson come to her job, with a smile like the cheshire cat? What does he say that riles Kat up? Who is Cheyenne and what is her involvement with Gabe? What does Kat think it is after the last time Gabe has snuck away and she goes to find him? There are a lot of intriguing things going on here. Who is Della and what happens between her and Kat? Why is Kat ordered to stay away from her? Who is behind all the things going on? When Kat goes to look for Gabe that night, what happens? You're going to have to read to see what is going on. Just know this book ends on a massive cliff hanger, letting you know there is more to come!
